DDR OSC 3+ ~Remixed~

IT'S OVER!

Here ye go, a handy-dandy set of results. 6 judges (Originally me, BlueSS, the_ditz, jammitch!, Zounder, and EggmaniMN - all invitied. DarthNemesis replaced EggmaniMN for the final results.), a nice load of public reviews, and the winner gets to play Win NekoInc's Tokens. Erm, scratch the last part. And scratch your ass for Techno Fiend while you're at it.

A reminder of  the scoring pattern:

1) The Judge scores are the four MIDDLE judge's scores added together, and the AVERAGE of the top-rating and bottom-rating judge's scores added to that. The maximum possible score here is 50.

2) An average of all validated Public Reviews, times 5, is also added. The maximum possible score is 100. (NOTE: I list the AVERAGE of the reviews, NOT the resulting score, in the Public Reviews column, so the public's view can be compared to the judge's). (Public Review link leads to a .txt file containing all posts verbatim, with a couple comments by NekoIncardine on a couple of them.)

3) At Incardine's whim (within reason), up to 4 Bonus Points will be assigned for well-done extras; 2 for non-animation extras, 1 for animations, additional 1 for ORIGINAL animations. The final maximum score is 104, in true Crash Bandicoot 'go-over-100%-to-get-everything' style. :P

One last thing: If a judge's own song is on the list, their score on their file will be replaced by a rounded average of the other five judge's scores. ('XX' will appear in the space where their score is.)

NOTE: Where a judge also entered the competition, their song has a score of XX under their name - this is intentional. Their song's scores consist of the other five judge's scores, added together.

Concluding comments by song:
Balloon Fever - Took the old NES synth patterns and created something surprisingly original and catchy, but this entry fell to the Public, who challenged some details of it's stepcharts which the judges liked, the 'GAY' background/banner joke, and the AVIs just being Ballon Fight footage unedited, among other things.
Begin To Spin Me Around - Liked all-around, this file earned it's solid-but-not-at-the-top standing from strength all-around - except on Challenge. (Several people also disliked it's Beginner chart.) One of the more DDR-like entries that the Remix concept produced.
Castlevania CV2K OC Remix - It's hard for me to be hard on the only newbie entry, but this mix fell and fell badly, for one reason, namely his failing to catch subtle BPM changes in McVaffe's mixing (McVaffe does that a lot, actually, now that I look at Sonic 3 IceCapped OC Remix more closely), though people didn't like his clusterfuck-y stepcharts either. Still, a newbie effort could do a lot worse.
Duck And Cover - The song was variously liked and disliked for it's very unusual nature (though it did get a little repetitive); also, several people didn't like the Heavy chart (which turned out to be the Challenge chart with steps removed). I'm looking forward to Dragon XVI's next work nonetheless.
Elysium Plus - Hard to mention Elysium Plus without mentioning Mason and Virgo and the controversy that they sparked with everyone else. I'm staying strictly neutral on the issue, as both sides have valid arguments and I don't wish to hurt those involved.
Everybody 2 The Sun (Scorccio Radio Mix) - Retro-Rap seems to be a very DDR-y type of song (X-Treme, for one), and this song is perhaps the most DDR-like song in the competition.
Get up! Rapper - I'm going to both defend and blast the author of this entry, given that the whole thing was done in a single day. My advice: TAKE YOUR FRICKING TIME WHEN YOU GO IT AROUND AGAIN. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE TO THE LAST MINUTE.
Kiss Kiss - Like Everybody 2 The Sun, it's very DDR-like (Only from the other angle, being from Dancemania Speed G3), though, depending on who you ask, it's either identical to the Tournamix 4 original, or it's hard to find the similarity between the two.
Love is Orange - I'm going to be honest here - I can't see how this song got fourth place compared to some of the other entries; I simply did NOT like the stepcharts.
Triforce Majeure - Not the most polished entry ever (and using the CD-i Zelda graphics is never a good idea), but still a very good entry I will continue to play in the future.
White Destiny - To repeat a comment from my judging: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!11111111111 .
Work It (Retrohouse Mix) - To gank Virgo's comment: Oh, blue... and knuckles... awesome. Hey, what's th- AGH BATMAN WTF. It really takes effort to be more distracting than the radioactive butterflies in PIU's Final Audition.  Congratufuckinglations. Probably more seizure-inducing. While I found it funny, I found that I couldn't keep my attention on the arr- hey, was that Amy Rose? Anyway, you might want to rethink tha- Hey, Tails. My hero. :D Er. What was I saying?
Anyhow. This file won on two grounds: EXTREMELY well-handled steps (At least on the final version where Team Symbiosis had worked together on it), and having the most hilarious background animations I have ever seen on a DDR song. (Duck and Cover came pretty close, though.)
In short: jammitch! (Along with BeMaNiWarrior) wins, with an all-around blowout.

Thanks to all entrants to DDR OSC 3+. I will be starting a comments thread; I ESPECIALLY want comments on the OSC 3+ judging system versus OSC 3's.
