OSC 5 - Solo Challenge Round! KEYBOARD DIVISION ----------------- PARANOiA ~Sky~ Steps: 24/30 Honestly, these steps manage to be just plain confusing at a few points, and the use of triple and quad hits felt decidedly unkeyboardlike. DOMINO Steps: 20/30 There are two major problems here: First off, this file manages to be apeshit crazy at times. Even at 0.7x speed and 2x scroll, I had a hard time reading it at many points. Alternatively, many sections ITG DIVISION ------------ INNER UNIVERSE Steps: 23/25 Quite a few neat uses of false triples and hands made this fun for me. I also congratulate you on avoiding letting yourself go extra-literal, sticking to an ITG heavy more than Expert style. Extras: 5/5 Beautiful new graphics and a nice video. JUMP STEPS: 15/25 After adjusting for a strange lag a bit, I found the steps difficult to follow, albeit with some excellent uses of false and real hands (often together at once!) Jumping on the beat, in DDR terms, means LANDING the jump on the beat, so this ended up being confusing. :( EXTRAS: 4/5 Interesting (though CP'edlooking) graphics. LITTLE LITTLE PRINCESS: STEPS: Whoa I missed a strange set the first time... 22/30 - this chart uses finds good use of quads and hands - but really, you may have done well to remove the slowdowns as well, as they were easily the most confusing part (especially with the number of mines you added.) TOGETHER: STEPS: 21/30 My love for the eighth note parts is dampened by the use of the mines during the most complex parts and ONLY those parts. TORI NO UTA: STEPS: 19/25 Honestly, these steps seemed a mite confusing at times, with perhaps slightly excessive use of the solo arrows. EXTRAS: 5/5 for new graphics, new cut, and even adding in lyrics! KAGEKIHA: STEPS: 23/30 Three things: 1) Some of the steps are really likely to cause people to trip. 2) I'm not entirely sure about some of the use of slowdowns at a feel points. 3) However, true to ITG, you stuck to the patterks very tightly. VIDEO OUT C: STEPS: 25/30 There were several moments that simply felt too insane, easily pushing into what I could call a 12-footer. Particular moments of dread are a few of the four-arrow strikes in the middle (even if they're false hands), the very end (may I state my absolute hatred for doing that damn trick). The rest of the time (including the other four-arrow strikes, near the start), including a use of a DDR-like build-up at the start that actually feels fitting, works great. DREAM OF YOU: STEPS: 19/30: I hated exactly one thing about this file, but it was a big one: Keeping in mind that Solo leans rather strongly towards a forward facing compared to four-panel, could you have made the steps much more twisty that you did during the sixteenth-note sequences? It's perfectly workable during the eighth-note areas, but the 16th parts are the only thing that brings this to a 10, let alone an 11. This is admittedly the song's fault as much as yours. INSPIRATION: lol number of teh beest STEPS: 27/30 Good thing I don't believe in luck, eh? ;) These steps hit a spot for me that many of the other Eurobeat charts didn't quite succeed at - I think predominantly, this was becuase you used patterns that actually seemed reasonable during the 16th sequences, that I could easily read, though stepping them was harder. THis tends to be the pattern for ITG's harder charts, so it was cool to see the pattern matched to.
